About Porch Time Records
Porch Time Records was born from a shared vision and deep love for Malawian music. The founders recognized a wealth of underserved talent in Malawi that deserves more global recognition.
Time and again, they witnessed musicians struggling to break through due to a lack of proper production, promotion, and industry support.
What began as casual yet passionate discussions on the khonde (porch) turned into a mission. During these "porch time" conversations, they explored ways to bridge the gap and create real opportunities for Malawian artists.
From those talks, Porch Time Records was born—a label dedicated to empowering musicians, refining their craft, and amplifying their voices on both national and international stages.
